DriveCast Wiki!

This wiki is a work-in-progress, intended as a resource for DriveCast users and developers.

DriveCast is a Web-based media manager for your different devices: USB keys, smartphones, and cars.
It catches your favorite content from the Web (audio/video) so you can collect them on your devices and play them whenever and wherever you want.

DriveCast looks like a Web-based iTunes, but it is different because it focuses on handling your “Fresh” multimedia content, saving them in your online library.

DriveCast will automatically manage your content keeping them always up-to-date!

Here is what you can do with DriveCast:

  • Subscribe to any podcast and choose the episodes you want to take with you
  • Plan radio recordings by setting the station and the time, and DriveCast will record it (once, daily, weekly/daily)
  • Add items while you browse on the Internet -- when you find an interesting clip, you can add it to your online library with just a click

The DriveCast components:

  • An online library where all your media content is saved
  • DriveCastUSB is the software that automatically synchronize your devices with your online library
  • Multimedia WebRecorder allows you to record Internet media, and if you play Web content, MMWR will keep it for you

DriveCast allows social networks interaction, Twitter being one example.
